Obituary

Wilbert Moore was born April 27 1957 in Bessemer Alabama to late parents Nathan Moore and Martha Durry Moore. He gave his life to the Lord at an early age and was baptized at A.O.H Church of God. He had attended Jess Lanier High School and furthered his education by acquiring his GED through Job Corp. At the age of 17 Wilbert worked as a welder at Pullman Standard. Wilbert departed from his hometown in 1986 setting his sights on Dallas Texas to embark on a career journey.. For 17 years Dallas was his home where he worked diligently as a crane operator demonstrating his dedication and work ethic. Eventually Wilbert moved to Little Rock Arkansas where later he sought new opportunities and obtained his CDL license. He spent four years as a truck driver showcasing his reliability and strength. Deciding to retire after years of steadfast work Wilbert chose to return to his roots in Bessemer Alabama wanting to spend his final years surrounded by family and friends who had shaped his life. Wilbert Moore was known for his orderly and structured lifestyle his unwavering work ethic and his resilience. He was a strong smart proactive and loving individual always presenting himself with elegance. A man of many interests Wilbert loved to travel indulged in the tranquility of fishing was an exceptional cook had a profound love for music and cherished the moments spent watching football particularly as a fervent fan of the Dallas Cowboys. In remembrance of Wilbert Moore we celebrate not just the places he has been or the jobs he held but the impassioned spirit he carried through every facet of his life a legacy of love strength and dedication. Wilbert leaves to cherish his memory five Children Antwan andJoyce Murray Wilbert Jr andTanDrinka Moore Erica Moore Eric and Chandrea Moore Dezarion and Ayanna Moore Siblings William Shepherd Delaware Alonzo Shepherd New York Victoria Shepherd West Virginia and Loutisha Dawson Birmingham Nathan Moore Birmingham Debra Moore Birmingham 13 Grandchildren Jamarcus Walls Shamyah Steele Will Moore Terreona Moore Leah Taylor Quendarius Small Malik Hall Amir Hall Jadon Hall Eric MooreJr and Shekinah Moore Aerie Moore and Ailani Moore Great grandchildren 4 3 Special nephews Dewayne Dawson Darnell Dawson and Brian Moore He leave behind a host of aunts uncles nieces and other relatives and friends. Special Friend Corliss Renee Doss Cherished ex wife and lifelong friend Gwendolyn Moore demonstrated grace and compassion caring for him through his final days.
