Michael Files

10-10-1957 - 03-12-2024


Our beloved father Michael Files aged 66 of Pratt City, Alabama was born on October 10, 1957, to the late Corine Files Williams and Marvin Hill. He received his education in the Birmingham City School System and joined the United States Armed Forces.
Michael Files married Valerie Parker and to that union two daughters were born. He was a sharp dresser and he enjoyed being the life of the party. He loved putting a smile on everyone’s face, asking “What are you cooking”, and took pride on teaching others how to cook which was his trade in the U.S. Army.
Michael was proceeded in death by his parents, a very devoted grandfather, Eddie Files, brother, Enoch Williams, stepfather, Isaac Williams, Sr., and three aunts.
Michael departed this life on earth the morning of Tuesday March 12, 2024, at Oak Trace Rehabilitation Center.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters Ronjanekia Files Walker of Pleasant Grove, AL and Kenyata (Antonio) Pettway of Birmingham, AL, two sisters Anita Beasley of Birmingham, AL and Janet (Tony) Jackson Winter Haven, FL, four brothers Deginald (Bernida) Hill, Alondio (Angela) Hill, Kerry (Jacquese) Hill and Isaac Williams, Jr all of Birmingham AL, one uncle Myron Files of Pratt City, AL, three aunts Eddie Mae Minniefield Pratt City, AL, Teresa Morris Birmingham, AL, Georgetta (Joe) Davis Chicago, IL one grandson Jordan Walker, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
